There are many ways to set up your "sound stage". Depending on how many speakers you have, you can set them up to maximize your experience. The SoundSend supports up to 8 channels of audio output and virtual ATMOS.
Numbers are often associated with different types of speaker setups. Most are familiar with Dolby Surround 5.1, but what does that mean? It means there are 5 monitor speakers and 1 subwoofer arranged in the listening area often referred to as the "sound stage". A typical setup for 5.1 sound includes a front right/left speaker, a center speaker, a surround right/left speaker usually in the back, and a subwoofer.
All configurations must be set in the app under Advanced Settings / Speaker Config
